This Privacy Policy explains how ClosePath LLC ("ClosePath," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the ClosePath application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
It's important to distinguish two types of information:
ClosePath is a sales-productivity and record-keeping tool. It is not designed or intended to collect or store protected health information ("PHI") as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), or any medical records, diagnoses, conditions, treatment details, or other clinical health information. The Service is not a HIPAA-compliant platform, and we do not act as a HIPAA "business associate."
Our Terms of Service prohibit entering this kind of information into the Service, including in free-text fields such as notes. We do not request it and do not need it to provide the Service. If a user enters health information anyway, they do so in violation of our Terms and on their own responsibility, and we may remove it or suspend the account. If you need to record health information about an individual, use a system specifically designed and contracted for HIPAA-regulated data.
We do not sell your data or your lead data, and we do not use your lead data for our own marketing.
Your data is stored using our infrastructure and database provider, which hosts data on secure cloud servers and isolates each account's data so it is only accessible to that account. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, including:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export your lead data as a CSV at any time. If you cancel, your data remains available to you unless you delete it or ask us to delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@closepathtracker.com.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encrypted connections and account-level data isolation. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can access and export your data within the Service, update your account details, and request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as to access, correct, or delete personal data). To exercise any of these, contact us at support@closepathtracker.com. If you are a California resident or are located in the EU/UK, see the sections below for more about your rights.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may give you rights to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request that we delete or correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. With respect to lead data you enter about other people, ClosePath acts only as a service provider processing that data on your behalf and under your instructions; requests from those individuals should be directed to you as the business that collected their information, and we will assist you as your service provider. To exercise any rights regarding your own account information, contact us at support@closepathtracker.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
ClosePath is operated from the United States and intended for use in the United States. If you access the Service from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. For your account information we act as the "controller"; for lead data you enter about other people, you are the controller and we act as a "processor" on your instructions. To make a request, contact us at support@closepathtracker.com. Business customers who need a data processing agreement may contact us to request one.
The Service uses only the storage necessary to keep you signed in and to operate core features. We do not use advertising trackers.
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
